KS1 Playground Opening
On Tuesday 20th November the new Vicar of St. Andrew’s, Reverend Andrew Studdert-Kennedy, formally opened the new KS1 Playground at St. Andrew’s CofE Primary School.
This new playground was funded and built by the London Diocese with financial contributions from parents and carers through their donations to the School Care and Maintenance Fund.
Despite the inclement weather, Rev. Andrew was joined by Councillor Judith Cooper, a member of the School Governing Body, for the grand unveiling.
Reverend Andrew said a short blessing in front of the children and staff, plus a group of parents who braved the cold and the rain. This was followed by a whole school a capella version of the School Prayer. The children in the lower school are eagerly anticipating their opportunity to play on the new climbing equipment during their break and lunchtimes.
