Mrs Catherine Batt

LDBS Foundation Governor
Chair

I am a newly appointed LDBS Foundation Governor at St Andrew’s School.

I have 11 years experience of being a school governor - I am currently Chair at another LDBS Primary School, and Vice Chair at an LDBS Secondary School.

I work for Surrey County Council 3 days a week in Access to Education - a team that supports young people from EYFS to Year 11 who are not in school for any reason.  This could be illness (both mental and physical health), exclusion, moved into the area, wanting to change schools so education is a passion of mine.

In my spare time, I have 3 children and I like to run (slowly!) and read.

Mrs Nicole Landon (was McAllister)

Parent Governor

I am currently a lecturer in the School of Health and Social Care and Creative Studies at Uxbridge College, where I teach anatomy and physiology and social care planning, values and ethics. Prior to this I worked as a Biomedical Scientist in the pathology laboratory within the NHS, specialising in haematology and blood transfusion, which is where I developed a passion for training and supporting the development of young people. As a parent, with two young sons attending this school, I was keen to join the Governing body to contribute to the school’s progress and raise expectations so that they and all the children enrolled can benefit from the best possible education experience. I truly believe that every child matters and that the education sector has an important role to play in helping children to be healthy, happy, safe and achieve their full potential.

Mrs Angie Marchant

Interim Clerk to Governors

I have been clerking school governing boards for the past fifteen years, having previously had a career in communications and marketing as a PA and running my own cosmetics and jewellery business.  This is my second venture into clerking for St. Andrew’s CofE Primary School as I used to clerk for the school many years ago before I moved to Buckinghamshire!  Being a Christian myself, I respect and uphold the Christian ethos and values of the school.

As well as St. Andrew’s, I also clerk for a number of schools in Hillingdon and Buckinghamshire and I am the Administrator for the Bucks Catholic School Partnership of eight schools.

I am married with two sons who are growing up fast, with one at University in Cardiff studying architecture and one in Sixth Form.  In my spare time I do a lot of dog walking with friends and look after our many other pets, as well as take my younger son to various trampolining events as this is his passion and he competes internationally with the GB freestyle team.
