Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Welcome to EYFS
In EYFS we aim to provide a rich, well-resourced learning environment, both indoors and out, making full use of the school grounds and facilities. We have a dedicated area of the school with a large, open classrooms, and an outdoor area that is shared by Nursery and Reception.
Children learn through a mixture of play based and adult-led activities across the curriculum, and no two days are ever the same! The Nursery is run by a qualified teacher and a Nursery Nurse, and the Reception Class by an experienced teacher, who is the EYFS Lead, and an experienced Teaching Assistant. All are experts in delivering Early Years education. Close links with parents and carers are maintained to ensure excellent progress.
Prospective parents and carers are welcome to come and have a look around to see Busy Bees or Little Owls in action and get a feel for what sessions are like in practice. If you would like to visit the Nursery or Reception Class, please contact the office to arrange a tour. We look forward to welcoming you and your child.
Mrs Marion Calder, EYFS Lead, and Miss Sinthusha Logeswaran, Class Teacher
