Visit to meet author Karen Owen
Pine class (Year 2) and Willow class (Year 4) were very fortunate to meet Karen Owen, the author of Major and Mynah. The event was organised by Hillingdon Libraries at the Compass theatre. Both classes enjoyed a trip on the tube together, followed by a short walk to the theatre. During the talk Karen Owen shared what inspired her to write the book and subsequent sequels. All of the pupils got involved in answering Karen's questions, as well as breaking the codes she created. After, many of the pupils had a range of excellent questions to ask Karen. It was a trip thoroughly enjoyed by all.
